The other night I was a little bored and decided to work on the Shammy for a bit. Then a friend of mine asked if I wanted to start up a 2vs2 team with him. His partner was a Holy Pally but lost interest. The conversation went a little like this:
Tono: You want to start a 2vs2 team?
Razor: Sure, but I warn you I am really bad at PVP.
Tono: Razorsux?
Razor: Sure do.
Tono invites you to join 2vs2 team "Razorsux"
Well why not. OK so I decided to go with my Resto, Razorbark. Tono is a Beast Master Hunter and basically spends all his time PVPing. Being in an American Guild in the Aussie time zone it’s sometimes hard to find something to do. That night we had 6 matches. Won 2 and lost 4. The 2 we won were against a real crappy team. They were more noobish than me. The main thing is I learnt a few things, so it wasn’t a complete waste.
Now the thing with my Razorbark is his gear. PVE wise, it’s pretty decent. Close to 1300 +heal. The problem is I have a lot of cloth and only 6500 health. So last night I hit the AH and picked up some Green Leather gear with Stam and Healing Stats. I ended up with 8000 health and 800 +heal. I figure this is a better balance.
So now it’s time for me to learn to PVP. Should be a blast and I must admit it’s great to have an experienced partner to show me the ropes.

Here's what I know about shaman healing from my minimal experience (mine's up to 45 now).
Lesser Healing Wave is overpowered. You get the most bang for your buck for the mana and time to cast it. In tight situations feel free to spam it ftw.
Grounding Totem is overpowered against casting classes. Spam the cooldown on it when you are fighting one, and you'll take a lot less damage.
Purge is ridiculously powerful, especially against mages and priests. Your hunter will eat those classes for breakfast when you dispell their Fortitude/Inner Fire/AI/Ice Armor/Combustion, Ice Barrier/Ice Block/PW:Shield. Almost everything can be dispelled, including Druid hots but watch out for lifeblooms as you'll be healing the target when you dispell them. But of course, you know that, after all you've got two more druids than me!
