The New Year is upon us. This is the time for thinking of Past, Present and Future. I think of what I have achieved over the last 12 months and what I hope to achieve for the next 12 months. I have mentioned my Tri-Boxing goals, so I will skip that. So what do I want to Achieve? Let's look at where I am at.
My Feral still needs about 2 pieces of the Badge gear and I have around 50 tokens, so I need a few more heroics there. I have exalted in every Rep that is useful, and a few that aren’t.
My Resto Druid has just finished crafting her Primal Mooncloth gear. Still need lots of upgrades. I have only just started on Heroics and I still have a ton or Factions to Grind.
My Balance Druid is in much the same boat. Can’t Decide if I should drop LW or Eng to take up Tailoring for the DPS Cloth. Both are around the 320-340 mark.
Well it looks like I’ll be Rep Grinding on my Alts and perhaps taking up Tailoring for my Balance Druid. I don't know If I can handle the whole Rep Grind again, but we will see.

I'm shocked at how every single caster class seems to have to take up tailoring nowdays. Why is this? Are the BOP tailoring sets so much superior to other drops at a certain stage of progression? Is it true that once you are in Kara and able to get access to better gear, these sets are no longer needed? How much do you gimp yourself by not taking up tailoring if you're a priest or warlock for example?
I can see how it must be daunting to rep grind again. At least now heroics at Honoured and Karazhan (22 badges per clear) are giving amazingly good access to decent gear.
I am not so sure about the Damage Set, but I know that the Primal Mooncloth Set is in many cases on Par with T5/6 gear. Our Main Resto Druid, who is sitting at around 1800 or so + to heal, uses the Chest and Belt. I don't think there are T4/Kara/Gruul Upgrades for those. I believe the T4 shoulders are better than the Mooncloth.
I hate it that they made the Heroic Keys easier to obtain. It makes for very bad pugs. I have seen guildies @ lvl 64 with thier Heroic Key for HH......
Any caster that doesn't take tailoring early on is definitely hurting themselves.
For holy priest, shadow priest, mage and warlock the tailored gear is incredibly over powered. It would be foolish to consider breaking the sets before you get at least two pieces of T5 and even at that stage there is good argument for waiting.
At least that is the majority opinion on all the forums I troll :P
