Beld recently shed some light on my long standing quest to keep him playing World of Warcraft. Damn, you have no idea how hard this has been. My most recent effort has pretty much been quashed because of a /follow bug. It seems that some people have an issue when a character follows another character, there seems to be a massive bandwidth spike that disconnects the follower. Basically it causes Beld's 2nd character to DC every 15 seconds. Not exactly a recipe for joy.
Plan B.
So I thought of an alternative. First a little Background. Zej plays the US time zone so he is barely ever on. So I have a conversation with Beld that goes something like this.
Razorbax: OK I have a Plan B. We could play our 70's on Medivh. I want to run with my 3 Boxing team, so if you transfer your Priest and Warrior, we would have 4 out of 5. We could then just pick up either a Healer or a Tank and we would have a guaranteed 5-man.
Beld: seriously ... from the issues I have had and the reading you did, which way do you think I will have more fun? 70's on Medivh or dual boxing on Anvilmar? it is one or the other, I don't have time for both
Razorbax: 70's, if we cant resolve your issue. I believe from the reading I have done that it was something Blizzard changed. So I don't think we will solve it unless they fix it in the next patch. There is nothing stopping us from halting our Toons until another patch;). Just because we decide to run the 70's will not stop us from changing our minds later.
Beld: yep that is true too
Razorbax: but the million dollar question is will you play the warrior again?Beld: Not on Medivh. Is pointless with you and Zej there.
Razorbax: #$^*& #&*^#* &#$#$ #$&#$, Zej does not play in AU times when we will be doing Instances. I want to play my 3 New Toons, that's Shaman/Shaman/Mage. NOT #$^%ING TANKS!
/facepalm
See what I have to deal with? Anyway, to cut a long story short, Beld will transfer his priest initially and see how it goes. Let's hope I don't have to resort to Plan C. It involves Rusty Blunt Instruments.....
