One of my favourite abilities that a Druid has access to is Flight Form, and as far as it goes, Swift Flight Form is even better. Friday Night I purchased the Epic Flying Skill for Razorbax. It is great as is, but it just isn't quite as good as the Swift Flight Form. So I started on the Quest line.
Epic Flight Form Quest.
I really enjoyed this quest-line and it was just as much fun the second time around. I must admit it gets a little tedious with travelling about but it is still a well designed quest line. Most of the quest is solo-able though it does help to have a friend along. My favourite part of the quest-line is killing the three spirits. They are each designed to highlight three of the four Shapeshift forms. Firstly you fight the Eagle's Essence. You get swamped with little attacking birds which makes it a survivability fight, Bear Form all the way. The next essence is that of the Falcon. This is a straight DPS fight which suits your Kitty Form. To finish things of there is the essence of the Hawk. This essence is susceptible to Magic Damage. Boomkin anyone?
Theory and Practice.
In theory it would be ideal to be specced Feral for the first two fights and Balance for the third. In Practice it is not needed. A Resto or Balance Druid, with a little feral gear, can handle the first two essences easily enough and a Feral with some Spell DPS gear can handle the third essence. For me though, I just Dual-Boxed it.
Now for the Hard Part.
The hardest part of this quest line is the Heroic Sethekk Halls run. I decided to take my Feral Druid for the first three bosses and Beld would take his Mage. We would then Swap his Mage for his Warrior and I would log on to Razorbax. The first boss in Sethekk is way over powered. We wiped about six times on this before we finally got him down. The rest of the instance was fairly easy after that.
Anzu the Raven God.
Anzu is a fun fight. My role was to keep HoT's on the three spirits, making the fight a lot easier. I also helped backup heal.
So I now have my two Epic Flying Birdies. I am a very happy pair of Druids;).
Razorbax.
