Interesting

Beld and I had quite a productive weekend of levelling. We went level 30 to level 44 and our /played is sitting on 19 hours. We spent most of our time in SM but as we hit level 40, the XP started to drop fast. We decided to check out BRD. BRD as it turns out was a huge improvement. We worked our way towards the princess and it was all nice and straight forward. But then we discovered....

See Edit below.

The Lyceum.

The Lyceum is a large underground cavern with packs of ten non-elite mobs, that constantly re-spawn until you put out the 2 torches. As we got here, we were both curious about the XP we would get. First thing I do is run in and start killing. With one 70 plus our two lowbies, we were getting 50 XP per kill. It occurred to us that we could literally stay in this one room and just keep killing and killing, especially with a Mage. Lets check out the math on this. According to wowwiki Level 44 its 91600 XP from level 44 to level 45. At 50XP per kill, that's 1832 kills per level. When the group sizes are 10+, and everything will die with a single arcane explosion, I have a feeling this will be a great place to Boost. We only spent a few minutes here as it was rather late, but I will let you know how it goes once we do it properly.

Gold!

One of the best things about Boosting is all the green Twink gear you pick up. We have made a packet on the AH so far. I am usually too lazy for this and just vendor everything. Thankfully Beld lives in the AH.

Flying Mount Discount?

I decided I would get my Mage her flying mount before my two Shammies. The main reason for this was she is a Shadowweave Tailor. So I gathered up 1100 gold from all my Toons and headed out to the trainer. The first thing I noticed was at the Shatt FP, there was a quest to Learn to Fly. Now I am not sure if this is new or not but I hadn't noticed it before. My second surprise came when I went to train. 600 Gold! That was it. I was expecting 1000. What happened? If you look in Wowwiki it says it costs 800G for training and 100 for mount. So instead of it costing me 900G, it only cost me 700G. Quite the discount considering I thought it would cost me 1100G!
Razorbax
EDIT: This doesn't work at all. We ended up getting about 1% XP per pull. Oh well, it was a nice thought.
