O Rly?

Beld: We need a Viable DPSer.
Razorbax: How about our Feral Druid?
Beld: Druid's are not viable DPSer's.
Razorbax: Sure they are!
Beld: Sorry, you can not convince me of that.
Razorbax: .....

Razorbax: You were saying?
Beld: Sorry mate, I won't believe you until I do it myself!
Razorbax: ROFL

ps. That was Maiden.

Hmm, not to belittle your argument but Maiden is more melee-friendly than caster-friendly...

She'll stun all of the ranged, which gets broken for the melee by the consecrate. The ranged have to wait it out until the debuff is gone before they can continue DPS.

Now, if the melee had to run out to bandage, I could see that being a fairer comparison.

I'm not saying you wouldn't have still done more DPS if maiden didn't stun the ranged, but it's not exactly an apples to apples comparison. How did you guys compare on more pure-dps fights like Attumen? Moroes (since neither of you would be CCing)? Curator?

I was hoping no one would notice that;).
I know very well I dont out DPS Beld on his mage, but that wasn't really the point. I have seen Druids fulfilling a Vialble DPS roll and that was just a way to tease him a bit about it.
I also came close to or beat him in Prince.
But seriously, Im not competing here, but @ Beld, Druids are Viable DPS.:P

Yeah, I don't disagree. I play an enhancement shaman for raiding and part of what people "just don't get" is that I'm sacrificing my personal DPS on purpose to buff theirs. So while they're gloating about their 2k+ dps, they also have to keep in mind that TECHNICALLY I "own" part of that DPS. Not to mention my drum buffs and heroism -- I contributed that dps as well, even though it shows up on the rogue's meter.

As a druid you can argue that you "own" some of the melee dps, because of your aura. Therefore your damage erroneously shows up on the rogue's meter. ;)

Hybrids are definitely viable as DPSers, it's the DPS meters that are flawed.

In any case, I wasn't saying you were wrong, just that it wasn't as strong of an argument (due to the fight mechanics) as it could have been. ;)
