How do you raid?

Have you noticed how different groups will do things differently. Ok this sounds rather vague. Let me explain. I have some friends in another guild that are behind us in Progression. Each week I will take a character along on their Kara Raid. Since I have not been able to make all our Guild Kara Runs, I have taken my Feral along. I don't need anything from Kara, I am just helping them out, though I must admit the badges are very nice;).

Anyway, they have a Warrior Tank and a Feral OT. I take the roll of DPS and Off-OT when needed. When I do a Guild Run, I am the OT and a Warrior is the MT. Occasionally when we are short on Warriors I will MT and have another Feral OT for me. But I digress. I have never tried to be OT over a capable warrior as it just doesn't make sense to me. When my target dies, I can switch to cat and still produce comparable DPS. A Prot warrior just can’t do that. In my friends guild, they alter from this a bit. The warrior is still the MT for Boss fights, but when it comes to trash, the first kill target is always the warrior. Even when it ends up the other way, I swear the other Druid is fighting for agro as he stays in bear when attacking the warriors target.

Don’t get me wrong here, these guys are actually very good and the runs are always a lot of fun. They have that perfect balance of enjoyment and discipline. Anyway, I have decided to have a friendly chat to the Warrior and share my opinion with him. Either way it’s not a game breaking issue, but it would be of benefit.
