It seems that blizzard is trying to push all it's BC content, both pve and pvp, onto everybody before WotLK comes into play, hence the removal of the attunements, and the accessibility of very, very powerful gear for nothing more than badge farming means that it is easier to progress through the content that blizzard has so painstakingly made easy. They do not want to repeat the mistake with Naxxramas this time around, but this is not the way to do it. They could easily made the rewards from a 25 man token drop *like badges of justice* but from the 25 man raids only, making karazhan and Zul'Aman not the farming zone for badges of justice and gear as opposed to the 25 mans. It is easier to get badges in 6 hours from both kara and ZA instead of trying to get 25 people together and farm a 25 man zone.
On the Changes:
The change to cleave, avenger's shield, and swipe are all nice, but it is the nicest for druids, as they now get a multi-target tank ability that doesn't break crowd-control. Cleave is close to swipe, but isn't instant like it. Avenging Shield has a cast time, making it hard to work into a good rotation for multi-target tanking, not that paladins actually need this ability to multi-target tank. I would be completely flabbergasted if they included consecration to this list.
I think Razor misses the point of the change to Lacerate. They reduced the threat of the ability and increased the damage of the ability so it does the relatively the same threat. However it now scales with AP so sooner or later you will end up doing more threat with it than the current version on the live servers. This is like the change that they did to the warrior ability "revenge" yet continued it by allowing to actually scale. Revenge used to do threat equal to damage plus 500. Now it does damage +200 threat. It is the same threat really, just more damage to attempt to allow us to do solo damage or add some kind of dps to our tanking, but forgot to mention any form of.
There aren't many other changes that bother me at the moment like Razor. I just wish Blizzard goes back and looks over abilities and does some re-tooling so that it makes a bit more sense. I have some handy examples with me to make my point.
Rend: Rend could be 300% more powerful and still be the weakest DoT in the game. I know warriors should not have a powerful DoT, but having a level 70 DoT be weaker than another classes level 20 Dot?
Thunderclap: A melee damage spell that is mitigated by armor, but uses spell hit and crit, and does not scale with AP? They could change that easy by making it use both Hit and Crit and scale with AP.
Druid weakness against mobs that are Nature Immune mobs: Give druids an arcane spell that is somewhat useful against mobs that isn't a mana intensive nuke that doesnt have much damage. This ties into the same thing with paladins, warlocks, warriors, and any class that really only has access to one form of damage and comes across a mob that can make it self immune, or resistant, to that school or style of damage. A good example are the shades in Scholo that become immune to physical damage after 30% health.
