Ding 63/63/63

I had a great weekend playing with my team. I finished off Hellfire Peninsula and cleaned out Zangarmarsh. I am now in Terokkar Forest. I was able to pick up Shadowweave Tailoring with my Mage as well. With leatherworking, I have been rather slack. See I decided to take up LW with both my Shammies, but I only actually focused on one of them. Since I have one skinner, that seemed like the easy choice. Now I am paying for that, literally. I have been buying the leather I need from the AH and damn its expensive. Once I get Razorshocks to 225, I will do the Dragonscale Leatherworking Quest on both Toons. Unfortunately Razorshocks also has Enchanting and is sitting 10 points shy of 300. This means I have 10 more points to get with expensive Pre-BC mats.

Team Reputation.

I have reached the Required Reputation of Honored with Cenerian Expidition. I have also noticed that the Kurenai have some nice Shammy LW patterns so I will have to focus on this when I hit Nagrand.

BWL!

As a fun event, the Red Dragons are going to Run BWL. Pre BC we only got about half way through it so it should be alot of fun. We formed a group to do the Attunment quest in UBRS and my Team is ready to face BWL;). I am tempted to finish my Ony Attunment as well so we can run Ony for some extra scales. We only have 15 in the bank from the old days.

2v2.

We did our ten 2v2 matches last night and actually manage 6:4 win:loss ration. We are slowly getting there.

Gear for 70

I have started planning the gear I will go with for 70. One thing that Patch 2.4 gave us, was Blue PVP gear in return for Honored Reputations. Since I plan to do a bit of PVP and also the fact that they are easy blues, will be trying for the full set for when I hit 70. First thing to consider is mixing gear. See it turns out that the healing set and the DPS set are considered different sets, so if I take two healing pieces and three DPS pieces, I will actually get the 35 resilience set bonus, twice. This should 151 resilience off the block at a cost of only 10 spell damage. This also allows me to skip CoT reputation.

The Gear.

From the DPS Set, I will take the Hands from CE, the Head from Sha'tar and the Pants from LC. That leaves the Healing Chest from LC and Shoulders from Sha'tar.

Mage?

I don't get as much choice with the Mage, to get the full 5 pieces I will need all the Reps.
HH Shoulders, LC Head, Sha'tar Gloves, CoT Chest and CE Pants.

Since I am trying to make this as easy as possible, I can probably replace the Chest with the Aldor Revered Reward. This may be a moot point as its possible I will have a better chest by then.

Boxing @ WowInsider

Xzin was a guest on a WowInsider Podcast. The topic was Multi-boxing and although the host seemed to be rather against certain aspects of Multi-boxing, I think the show was a great success. You can check it out here. For those of you who have not heard of Xzin, he was one of the first people to introduce Boxing to Warcraft and is an avid member of the community.

PVP Boxing.

This was the area the host had an issue with. He made mention of Ellay who playes 4 Shammies. He completes his 5v5 team with a healer. Ellay has managed to become one of the top teams in his battle group and has even transfered to a more established battle group so he can go up against the best teams. The Hosts argument was that if a Boxer can reach so high in the Arena's, how is it fair. Ellay is just an amazing player and he would reach this bracket regardless. There is no other boxer that has achieved this and he had to work hard to do it. Most boxers I know of are lucky to hit the 1850 bracket. I am still convinced that 5 individual players are superior to a Multi-boxer, but there will always be QQ'ers that use this as an excuse for losing.

The Team Update.

I managed to ding 56 on Razorblinx and Razorshocks last night. I am now tempted to run just those 2 through BRD or something to close the gap a little more. I will see how I go. Razorslax is sitting halfway through 58.

/Wave.

Greets to BRK and thanks for the link.

Like Riding a Bike

The weekend heralded my first raids with my Resto Druid as my Raiding Main. As you can expect I received a lot of comments about my lack of healing practice. Some people seem to thick I have not touched my Resto druids other than a few 5mans. Well that's not quiet true, though my healing experience is limited to Kara. So on the weekend we ran Mag, the second half of Kara and a full ZA run. It was a breeze. The only issues I had was remembering some of my Keybind changes from my recent redesign.

PVP.

Razorbark is my PVP toon and is in a 2v2 with a hunter called Tono. I managed to upgrade a few pieces of PVP gear this week. I handed in 40 Badges for my PVP boots and also had that PVP Cloak from Keal drop as well.I have broken the 300 resilience mark so I think I have to stop blaming my gear now...

The Team.

I had a quick ply on my team last night but unfortunately I was all WoW'ed out so I only played for 30 minutes or so. I will be making an increased effort to keep these ladies moving towards 70.

Grats.

Twenty Totems is getting Married. Congrats and Best Wishes.

Easter Weekend

I hope everyone had a great Easter and digested copious amounts of Chocolate. I spend the first couple of days with my Family. The rest of the time I was able to focus on my Team.

Ding 57/55/55.

Yep, I levelled my team quite a bit on the weekend. I basically cleaned out all the quests in Ungoro, Winterspring and WPL. As you could expect I am gathering a lot of Dungeon Quests that I need to Clean out. I have my SM Class Quests and my DM Trinket Quests that I need to get out of the way first. Though I am still short one Shammy Book. Tonight I hope to hit 58/56/56 but we will have to see how long the Server stays up for.

IMBA?

When I started in WPL I ran into one of those big Stitches 67 or 68 elites. Now I remember getting destroyed by these guys on my other toons but being in your own group does have its advantages. Dropping Totems and Blowing my Cooldowns I was able to kill them before they got into Melee range. After this I figured I would give Araj(61 Elite) a shot. I killed as many of her add's as I could then set my self up. Totems Down, hit the Cooldowns and let it loose. The Damage from my Chain lightning's alone killed her two friends and I managed to take her down with little effort.

70 Gear Planning.

Over at Twenty Totems there is a great article about the Blue PVP gear that is being released for Rep with the next patch. This should give me a great start out kit. It should not be too hard to get Honoured in the 5 factions required and the cost is about 100g for the 5 pieces. As suggested in the article I will also go with 2 pieces of Rest and 3 Elemental for the additional Resilience.

Blogroll Updates.

My apologies for not adding any blogs lately, I have a huge list to add but just need to find the time. Please feel free to Submit your blog to give me a friendly push;)

Karazhan

Last night I let Razorbark leave the PVP queues long enough to attend Karazhan with some friends from another guild.

It was a very profitable day.

Firstly, I had the honor to pick up my Season 2 Bracers, :). Unfortunately I was broke at the time so I did not invest in good gems, but I’ll fix that up later. I then scored the :) and some cloth healing boots from the shade, only to have the leather ones, :), drop from Chess. To finish the night I also purchased my :).

Not too bad for a day’s work. Best of all though, it was a fun, casual run and everyone enjoyed themselves

Pizzahut Fan Club

The new 5v5 team is up and running. This is how the team looks so far.

Saintmarche – Retardin
Tono – Huntard
Songoku – Mage
Pizzahut – Holy Pally
Razorbark – Resto Drood

We actually did a lot better than I expected. Most of us have very little experience. The main thing is we had a blast. We ended up with a score of 7 wins and 3 loses and a rating of 1546. Not too shabby for PVP Noobs.

2v2 Team

On the 2v2 side of things, we are sitting consistently at around 1471. I think one more week and I will be able to pick up my healing off-hand.

OMG Totems

I believe I neglected to mention that my new Shaman team are at level 11. I still haven’t decided if I will retire one and use Razorslax.

Site under Construction

Finally I am sure you all noticed the changes to the format of my site. It’s still a work in progress and you will see more changes in the coming weeks.
